What Chapter 10-01.1 Requires
- Appointment on file with the Secretary of State (§ 10-01.1-05), maintained for as long as the entity is registered
- A qualifying agent: a North Dakota resident individual, or a corporation or LLC registered with the state that keeps a North Dakota business office
- A real location (§ 10-01.1-04): the filing "must include a complete physical address in North Dakota for that agent," in the Secretary of State's words, and a PO box by itself does not satisfy the registered office requirement
- Public listing: the agent's name and address sit on your entity's public record
